About
My name is Máté Lang, and I am a seasoned tech startup CTO and software engineering professional with over a decade of experience in the software industry.
Early in my career, I worked in traditional enterprise software engineering shops, but in 2015, I got my first gig as the first engineer of a fresh UK-based startup that required its first engineer (later promoted to CTO). I've become addicted to building startups and digital products and never looked back.
I have built and nurtured cool engineering teams and products ever since.
The exposure and insights I've gained from constantly being challenged in the unique and ever-evolving startup environment, from building and maintaining services to gaining real traction, are invaluable. They have shaped my professional journey and equipped me with a unique perspective and adaptability in the tech industry.
As a firm believer in the importance of knowledge sharing, I actively contribute to the tech community, by speaking at conferences, teaching university students about distributed computing, conducting internal training for client companies on various topics, and occasionally developing services and tools in public.

About creatine.dev
I launched creatine.dev, an independent publication, in April 2024 to share my experience and offer my unique take on engineering practices, architecture, tools, cloud computing, scalability, observability, and many more topics to software engineering practitioners about technology, processes, automation, and tooling.
I intend to make this place a valuable read for any software developer, launch courses and training opportunities, and build a community of like-minded professionals.
